We're testing a new set of numbers internally now, and we're hoping to get it on a Test Center with a Siege backup so y'all can try it out and see how it feels. To give you a rough idea of the current plan (and start the debate boiling,) the time to get from 70-120 has been reduced by about a third, and the time to reach the stat cap has been reduced by about the same proportion.
1/3 of the time for 70-120 and 1/3 play time daily? Can I get a whoop whoop?
I like that they didn´t change 70 to 80...
wow, so now instead of 22-23 days getting every single possible rot gain without an alacrity its what? 15-17 days instead roughly, pardon my math...
I dont see that as being a big enough change to encourage new players to come here.... They are still look at a 2 month range for a complete character, getting EVERY SINGLE possible gain without an alacrity....
I was thinking of tweaking the numbers more to a 1/4 of its current state... Giving it 5-6 days from 70-120... Which is by far wayyyyyy more attractive to newer players to Siege...
I dont play here anymore but I figure thats what the average siege player thinks?
If I am reading this correctly, reduced by 1/3 of the time so it still takes 2/3 of the time it previously took. I would have hoped for more.
I am mainly satisfied with the 1/3 time of DAILY playing, so now when im working one skill I wont have to play for 3 hours, then again I read it at 1/3 of the current time, either way they want to hear from us on the subject so once test center gets up and running we will see.
Hmm, U might be right. I read it as it will only take a third of the time it takes now but I see now that is not the case.
Bad news. I've been busy and don't play nearly as much as I used to but I still play sometimes. If this change goes through though I'll probably stop playing forever. Because I know that this will not bring in anywhere close to the population a major ROT change would, and the devs will not give us another change to ROT if this one fails (which it will). Without the possibility of a healthy population on Siege (and one obtained without making huge sacrifices), I see no point in continuing to play, pay, or post. A big thanks to all you who asked for a small change.
Those of you excited over this change...over any change...either don't understand the point of the change, which is primarily to boost Siege's population, or don't understand the results of this change, which is nothing compared to the result of a major change to ROT.
Just remember before you scream at the devs at some future date about how sucky Siege is...The devs screw us over half the way. And we do the rest. Siege players have screwed over Siege in the past asking for the wrong thing, and now they have done it again.
Hopefully enough of you recognize how pointless this change is and demand a real, true, major change to ROT before this is what we get stuck with. But I guess that's asking a lot of this community.
Dude, Check it out on test, provide some feed back and see how it fits. If you are expecting an Atlantic size population, you are dreaming. That will never happen.
Wait to see how it plays before stepping up the drama.
Siege should still be advanced and still harder.... 1/3 is a good thing.
I have been a RoT fan for a long time. I just want to see a tweak. Some will disagree. *shrugs*
Agreed. If not this shard would be trammified, everyone would make tamers from other shards and be PvPers.
Ya its not a major change but hell it's a change and with the combination of alacrity scrolls it will be very easy to finish a character...

To mas-I'm sorry that we (everyone on siege except you) dont want a major change to rot, sorry we dont want someone with 10 trial accounts training mining to 100 in a day and running massive scripts while getting bods and flooding our market like on prodo, sorry we want people to be hardcore here.

Bottem line, we want some more players while keeping Siege sorta reserved, we are in essence opening our borders more but the fence is still up.
I don't want a group of idiots coming here, running scripts for a week and then run around spewing garbage all the time, that my friend is way worse than any rot change at all.
We have spoken, it will now be more feasible for people to come here, learn how we operate and join in the community, most of your prodo shards scripts will still be worthless, and the "fly by night kiddies" will stay in barney land where they belong.

im happy they finally doing something, and they want feedback when they put sp up on test center. so i think its all good!
so lets make sure we do this and send feedback! show them we care then they will care more, everything dont have to be taken so negative (masu!)

Well Mas...that means when it hits the Test Center that would be the time for you and everyone else who is not thrilled with what is proposed to try it and give a major feedback campaign based on your findings, because that will be the only chance to get further tweaks.

The thing I´m afraid of is, that the numerous of non-Siege posters that has claimed that if RoT was changed they would come to Siege, isn´t gonna think that 4 months to finish a char is any better than 6 months. Yes, the daily cap can be made faster with this change but the completion of the char is still gonna take a lot of time even if they get max gains every day.
So I too hope they change it even more...
Well I believe with faster daily gains, it gives you something to keep playing for, more instant gradification.
Hopefully it isn´t just Siegers that go and test it and send feedback. Cuz what is REALLY needed imo is the feedback from all players that´s been wanting to come to Siege if it wasn´t for RoT. It is their voices that should really matter and a change should be made so it´s no longer something that keeps players away...
Cuz even if RoT keeps the jerks away I think that for every jerk there´s also a good player that it keeps away...

Although, when the daily cap is reached, the cap is reached. And if you´re a player that refuse to come here because of 6 months of training, then unfortunatley I don´t think 4 months will make them change their minds...
While I see your point... it doesn't take 4 months to have a playable char... people can get into the thick of it in 2, which is good.
