whats a good mix of str, int, dex for a samurai? Also does dropping resist from template make a huge difference to pvp or fighting in the doom gauntlet? THanks

The mix depends a lot on what you plan on doing with it and what you plan on fighting with. For example, if you use bokuto with swing speed increase, then you don't need all that much dex. However, if you use an ornate axe, then you need all the dex you can get. My PvM samurai also have less than 100 strength at the default 230 base stats and does just fine. I would definitely want more strength if I chose to PvP.

It all goes to swinging faster is more effective than swinging harder.

Here's a place to start from:
Max 250 (if you can't afford that +25 stats scroll)
    Str: 100
    Dex: 120
    Int: 30

This lets you do weapons specials as well as cast a few spells back to back (EoO, lightning strike, confidence, etc)

I don't PvP, but in Doom, having resist is a great thing, if only to counter the curses and blood oathing that goes on so much down there. I don't have resist, so when I get blood oathed, I have to remove myself from the fight or have someone else constantly healing me.
