*The bard tunes his lute....*

Discussion in 'UHall' started by Prince Caspian, Feb 2, 2012.

  1. Come listen, good people to the tale I've penned,
of the EM Event to which Caspian did wend,

To Serpents Hold he came, to a crowded muster,
Lots of foul-mouthed idiots spouting insults and bluster.

The Waka morons drivelled on to all near and far,
How much PAS sucked and how awesome they are

Caspian took his seat and little heeded their vent,
For this was his first 2012 live EM Event,

Some EM appeared, and as all listened in suspense,
He told a story that didn't make a whole lot of sense.

Some brigands, he told, had stolen the bakers' flour,
So vigilantes were needed to lend their combat power.

Why the guards didn't handle this? It was never addressed:
So we set off after these thieves, gating far to the west.

We stepped through to find, ungodly lag all around,
And a host of red-named brigands were soon to surround.

These brigands were horribly overpowered to boot,
Two hits and you were dead... with an all-70 suit.

Add to that a lag, and you were pretty much dead
The second that you saw your life bar turn half red.

PC corpses soon choked the glade, as the brigands slew
It was laggy and hard to see who was targetting you

Caspian decided, after his upteenth dirt nap,
That he'd really had enough of this tedious crap.

As he recalled back to his domicile, away from this muck
He mused this is exactly why these events always suck.

So my story ends, and the heavy lesson to take,
Is an over powered mob doesn't a good event make.

Nicely done. I haven't attended an event in ages due to some of the reasons you listed. :(
