[UO Herald] New In Game Items Are Now Available

    I purchased 2 soulstones, 2 new hairdye, 1 earrings of protection, and 1 armor engraving tool. $35.23 total was charged to my Credit Card. When you hit the "CONFIRM ORDER" button (the last step) you get the screen listed below... and no emails with the codes.

    Here is exactly what i did.

    added the following to my cart

    1 red lady bug
    1 green lady bug
    2 new hair dyes
    1 bod cover

    Entered payment information etc

    Clicked Complete checkout
    Came to the screen seen in the picture

    Error on the webpage Please contact system admin.

    Then i decided to hit the back button and try again

    Clicked complete checkout again, got the same error (this is where the double charge came from)

    The order never completed but we were charged.

    PM with account name sent.

    With Some Superior Calm, I resolved my issues thru the 1-866-543-5435 support # option 7 any other game title.

    LOL. You guys/gals crack me up. I can quote and build you a PO system that will actually work reliably that will prolly cost half of what you have spent already investigating the issue. How often does the website not work? Somewhere along the line you have to cut the string to a bad service.

    I called the support #, Hit #7 option on my touch tone( all other game titles) and got my money sent back from the double charge as well as my codes sent to me from the first charge .

    It was Live customer support and went very well for me.

    Why don't your website engineers go through the system and contact all the users that were charged twice? They're capable of looking in a DB I would assume?

    I didn't even think that I would get billed once, much less twice for something I didn't get last night when I tried to purchase them. I just figured it was a glitch and waited until this morning to check on it again. After reading others had been double billed, I pulled up my credit card and sure enough it got me too!

    I guess if I had realized what happened last night, I would have called last night. Oh well, hopefully Chrissay will get it all straightened out.

    Well apparently it takes rocket science to figure out that the people putting together the website don't know what they are doing.

    Cal, are you in charge? Get rid of these people. The ordering website is out of date and in game terms "f'ing suxxors" This happens EVERY TIME something is added to the store.

    Please start fresh. I bet your unpaid intern could put this thing right in two days. Or better yet, Why can't we have the japanese website layout? Now that is a much better working site.

    This is my biggest pet peeve outside the screwing of Siege Perilous.
     
  12. I'm a little late in answering this question about the multiple charges, but all I was trying to buy were the hair dyes and got the same error everyone else did and no codes. Making my call to customer service as I type this.

    Another EA debacle! I cannot buy from the official EA store as you say my Credit Card details do not match my address. Utter BS. Youre quite happy to take mu UO subscription with that CC.

    And in any case ... why should I buy from the official store (which once again is botching peoples orders) when I can go to my nice 'unofficial' store and get the items a) cheaper, b) more efficiently and most of all c) with a much more courteous and professional level of customer service.

    Stick your store ... Ive got a better deal elsewhere :D

    Oh, and if anyone wants the site info just PM me ... you wont be disappointed. They make whoever designed/admins the EA store site look like a bunch of muppets. Customer service is superb. They will also match any other internet price you can find.

    Well i got the email for the codes, only problem is i got 2 sets of codes, and im still being charged for both of them :(

    I didnt want to place the exact same order 2 times.

    Well they finally cut to the chase. Why bother making them craftable or reward items when people will fork over cold cash for ITEMS. Makes up for the account loss a little bit this wway too. This is what the game has become. A materialistic lalaland.

    I just got confirmation from my credit card company that I have been charge 3 times now for attempting to buy items from the UOGameCode store last night, and nary a code have I received.

    Last evening we encountered an error with the UO Gamecode store. We have since fixed this error and are in the process of manually distributing the codes that were purchased. For those who attempted the same order more than once the additional charge(s) will be refunded. If you haven’t receive your code and/or refund within 48 hours please create a ticket at http://support.ea.com. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

    I didn't call EA, just waited for the process to sort itself out.

    Well, I am glad to have the new Ladybugs, Rugs, and Hair Dye available for purchase.

    But...no promotion or ability to purchase the ToT1 dyes. *sigh* :(

    I'm glad they don't do the free gift system for "x amount of dollars spent" like they do in Japan : I don't like the principle of getting a random gift for lots of real money spent.
    I don't want UO to become some sort of lottery!

    I don't mind the fact of being able to purchase some things from UOstores, here & there, as long as it"s not too often, and not too expensive either : it's like something nice to think about, game-related.
    (also, lots of ppl purchase from brokers -which I'd never do!- so, what is the problem if we can get something nice from UOstores from time to time?... Honestly?)
