    As many of you are now aware, when we introduced the new RvR Trophy system and lowered the prices of the RvR Weapons, an issue was introduced where players were able to advance their progression through the RvR Insignia ranks in an unintended manner. To prevent further impact to the economy, we took immediate action late last night. The unfortunate side effect of this action is that the small number of players who purchased RvR weapons legitimately have lost or are not being granted the respective Tome of Knowledge unlock. Today, we are taking steps to correct this issue, and to alleviate the impact that this fix had on legitimate purchasers.

    We will be bringing all North American Servers offline for a short server reboot this afternoon. Servers will be brought offline at 3:00 PM EST and are expected to be back online no later than 4:15 PM EST. During this time we will be implementing the following fix:

    • Players who had previously purchased RvR weapons will need to un-equip and then reequip the weapon to receive the correct Tome of Knowledge unlock.
    • Players who have either purchased weapons that are unusable by their career (e.g.; a Sorceress/Bright Wizard purchasing a 1 Handed Weapon) for the purposes of advancing to the next tier of Insignias, OR players who may have destroyed or salvaged the weapon will need to file an In Game Appeal using the In Game Support Tool. Please file this appeal under “Character Issues” and the Customer Service team will investigate and address accordingly. Please appeal from the character which has the issue, and name your character in your appeal by Name-Server. Please be aware that this process may take up to 72 hours.

    We are aware that some players are being adversely affected by this issue and for that we apologize. We are committed to keeping the community updated regarding this issue, and thank you for your continued support.
