Who we are: A group of players who sincerely like helping others, and going out to fight monsters. As such, we are not normally a guild that goes into Felucca. If you have a need to PvP, your characters are welcome in some of our allied guilds, but we like to keep MHC itself as a Trammel-ruleset-only guild. History: Originally, the guild was just a loose association of players from multiple guilds, that were looking for others to hunt with late at night. Eventually, though, we actually started a guild for that purpose, as our older guilds became less active in the game. Some of our earliest hunts centered around the then-new paragons of Ilshenar, and I believe that one of the motivating forces for the "club" becoming a full-fledged guild was the ability to communicate with each other during the invasions and events before and during the launch of the Samurai Empire expansion. Occasionally, you might hear mention of "Wild Bill" or "Mad Max" - he was one of the co-founders (and first guildmaster), along with Mylene (the current guild leader, aka Basara - but the only finished male character I had at the time, had just assumed leadership of the LA Treasure Hunters of Britannia, and wasn't about to drop that guild), Alaric Dragon and Cherri (now leader of the LOST Auction guild, aka Dark Angel XXXX on Stratics). Other founders included Malaganter, Omni, and a few others lost in the mists of time. Our membership rose and fell several times over the years, sometimes rising as high as being the 4th largest guild on Lake Austin. Now, we're looking for new blood and old friends to join our ranks. Friends and Allies: Alliance-wise, MHC, HH and B|F make the core of the Legion of Sosaria Alliance, along with smaller, more exclusive guilds such as THB, LOST, and the crazy combat miners of XMHC - the Extreme Miners Hunting Club (where your guild title is determined by the toughest ore elemental you've killed in Ilshenar). We were once part of an alliance with UMP, and still consider them good friends, though we parted ways due to different emphasis (as well as an unfortunate string of miscommunications). Other guilds have come and gone, as well, but we remain on good terms with most of those that still exist. Even without actually joining the alliance, all are welcome to hunt with us as long as they follow the rules set out for that particular hunt. Heck, over the years, several notorious PvPers that got burnt out on Fel would hunt alongside us, eventually returning to their old haunts after getting their groove back (or not going back to Fel at all). Want to Join? Talk to any of the guild officers, and we'll get together and consider your membership. Typically, there's a probationary period of a few days where we'll ask you to hunt alongside us before actually adding you to the alliance, to see if you'd fit best in MHC, or one of the other alliance guilds. Benefits We've got lots of crafters (and piles of things like minor artifacts), and will help new and returning players get outfitted, and even supply those training non-combat characters some of the material and equipment needed to train up. We want you to get into the game, and stay here. We'll also help you get set up in a home of your own, especially if you want to settle in our community in Ter Mur, Rivenmyst Village. We try to do several peerless, treasure maps, Ilshenar champs or Stygian Abyss hunts a week, and this might once again reach 5-7 days a week, as our membership starts growing again. Typically, boss loots are either split by dice roll, or we break party to split the corpse loot into instances, depending on vote before the hunt. We also do hunts of less challenging things, if trying to help someone train a new character up (or get used to the game's current power level after a hiatus). So, come join us, and have fun.
