What else skills to take?
Depends upon your play style and what you are intending to do with the char.
Some use bushido and spam light strike.
Some use hide/stealth and take pop shots
Some have ninja.
If you are solo, resist is helpful. Otherwise, IMO, points are better spent on skills other than resist *shrugs*
i like long fights, how about spellweaving ?
Too mana intensive to be honest. Some might say use summon fey or stuff like that, but I just don't see it.
It's hard to put together but keeps opponents guessing:
Necro has more bang for the buck. I like necro. Nothing like revenants.
I had loads of different combinations on my archer, with and without resist.
And nothing is as good and "easy" to survive in 1 vs x fights then with Resist.
Atleast for PvP =)
Re-read what you quoted. You basically proved my point. If the ARCHER is solo, resist can be helpful. If the archer is part of a group, there are better skills.
I've got a few archers but only one has resist. Mainly because he was a designated dismounter and took a lot of punishment.
I myself understand, but you can just as easily have a designated dismounter running stealth and hence...minus resist.
Your first statement I would mostly go along with.
